Allergy diagnoses
For a comprehensive diagnosis of an IgE-mediated allergic reaction or condition, you start with the patient’s clinical history and a physical examination.
Once you have a presumptive diagnosis, sensitization testing – most frequently in the form of skin prick testing – will confirm or dismiss it. If any doubts remain, a provocation test will establish clinical relevance.
